The Art
Welcome to “Awake.”
Awake is a large-scale art installation manifesting as a colossal EYE. It stands around 60 feet tall and is over 100 feet wide, made up of LED video panels, a beautifully handcrafted facade, and loaded with a high tech 20 jet pyro system shooting flames to resemble eyelashes.
Awake was created as a platform for artists to display their custom video creations upon it. It is a multi-layered video display, with an addition of a layer of custom-fabricated facade of LED pixels that make up the iris and eyelashes. It incorporates motion tracking technology and senses when it has visitors, interacting with them accordingly. During its awake hours, it follows participants as they pass by or stand and interact with it. When it is in its sleeping mode, it displays live-rendered images of its dreams.
It will have hours and hours of custom content from a multitude of talented artists, fire and acrobatic performances, and special events. One unique feature is it can also be controlled remotely from the city in our art support camp. It will stand in the deep open playa.

Present throughout the week, it reveals evolving facets that mirror the theme ‘curiouser & curiouser’ Our call is to awaken love, elevate consciousness, and realize a higher existence through the Eye, serving as a bridge between humanity and transcendent realms. We aim to demonstrate that love triumphs over ego, uniting us in our quest for a world filled with care and presence.
Awake stands as a beacon of Love, Light, Creativity, Consciousness, and Stability, inviting a collective uprising against hate, greed, and discord. In these pivotal times, we believe our art will catalyze change, embodying the Burning Man spirit-fostering ART, love, music, innovation, self-reliance, compassion, and communal effort. This evolution is powered by love and community. Join us in this transformative movement, as we, together, strive to heal our planet.

Our vision is to use the Eye to help awaken its visitors to feel and spread love, elevate their consciousness as they ponder their higher existence and who they are as their higher selves. It serves as a bridge between humanity and our transcendent realms. We aim to demonstrate that love triumphs over ego, through uniting us in our efforts to help heal the world.

About Us
Awake is the creation of the members of “The Unnamed Collective.” Our goal is to anonymously and without ego, impact humanity in our projects. Our mission as a collective involves many aspects, but ultimately it’s a challenge to be the change in the world, not only in our daily actions but in what we can achieve in unity.
The collective is made up of many talented people. It’s a collection of doers, builders, creatives, and organizers. Within the collective, we have 4 directors. Each director has many years on playa being involved with art, sound camps, theme camps, and interactivity. In the default world, each director is heavily involved in the music and event world with over 1000 events between us, with event sizes ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands, done at festivals and venues around the country. We are Event Producers, Talent Buyers, Site Managers, Experience Creators, as well as many other roles which include being parents and family-oriented people. We share this to demonstrate our experience and commitment to bringing Awake to its highest caliber. We remain anonymous but look forward to connecting with you as we correspond.
