Utah’s official Burning Man Decompression, blending community, music, art, and self-expression into an unforgettable Halloween experience.

The day begins with a family-friendly pre-decompression in the parking lot, featuring a trunk-or-treat, youth workshops, and interactive art. The night transitions into the main Decompression festival inside Saltair, complete with DJs, mutant vehicles, art installations, and fire.

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat & Interactive Youth Art Workshop

• Youth DJ Workshop: 1:00– 3:00 PM
  Hands-on learning with DJ equipment, led by experienced artists.
• “Rug Rippers – Dust Off” DJ Competition: 3:00 – 4:50 PM
  Youth and teen DJs compete for performance opportunities:
  • 🏆 Winner → DJ set on the Playa at Burning Man 2026 with Project AWAKE
  • 🥈 2 Runner-Ups → DJ set at Project AWAKE 2026 Utah Pre-Burn events

Interactive Zones

• Trunk-or-Treat Village: Families circulate between decorated cars; treats are gifted and incentivized through participation in activities.
• Youth Expression Stage (Artcar DJ Booth): Kids/teens learn to DJ, play with music gear, and perform.
• Laser Play Zone: Youth operate buttons/sliders to project Halloween animations onto Saltair’s exterior walls.
• Art Workshops: Collaborative mural wall, mask-making, face painting, and flow-arts tutorials.
